It wasn't that long ago that I took my first steps as a member into a group fitness class with feelings of excitement and anxiety. My exercise experience to that point included walking and a few weight machines. I really had no idea what it would be like to use free weights or other types of equipment. It was in that studio space that my relationship with exercise was transformed. It was hard work, but the trainers were encouraging and motivating. What I enjoyed most of all was that we had fun as we sculpted ourselves into stronger, healthier beings. And that was when I realized that I would be a trainer like that one day.
My focus is on YOUR goals, not what I think your goals should or could be. I will meet you where you are and together we will design an exercise plan that you can actually enjoy and adopt as a lifestyle for optimal health and wellness. Exercise, in my opinion, is an amazing medicine that you can give your body with the very best side effects of a leaner physique, increased energy, and an improved outlook on life. You will work hard and I will hold you accountable, but we will also share a lot of laughter to get you through even the most challenging workouts.
I received my personal trainer certification through American Council on Exercise in 2010 and obtained additional specialty certificates in Therapeutic Exercise, Orthopedic Exercise and Senior Fitness programming. I am also a Level One Corrective Exercise Specialist in The BioMechanics Method® for chronic pain management.
